Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can a homeowner recognize when a roof system needs to be replaced?

A: All too often roof system problems are discovered after leaking or other serious damage occurs. Periodic (twice-a-year) inspections often can uncover cracked, warped or missing shingles, loose seams, deteriorated flashings, excessive surface granules accumulating in the gutters or downspouts and other visible signs of roof system problems. Indoors you can look for cracked paint, discolored plasterboard and peeling wallpaper as signs of damaged roof areas. A RoofSmart technician will be happy to inspect your roof free of charge.

Q: What will a new roof system cost?

A: The price of a new roof system varies widely depending on the materials selected, contractor doing the work, if it’s a home or building, location, local labor rates and time of year. Keep in mind that price is only one factor and it must be balanced with the quality of the materials and workmanship. We offer financing.

Q: Another company offered me a free roof and said I would’t even have to pay my deductible. Do you offer this?

A: No, this is illegal. It is considered insurance fraud. If a company is willing to break the law and bring you along what shortcuts are they willing to take with materials and installation?

Q: What if I’ve already filed a claim and have been turned down?

A: Whether you’ve already started the process or have had a claim turned down we can still help you. We have helped many others in the same situation negotiate a new roof.
